A MESSAGE FROM BRIAN, YOUR WEB-MASTER
Thank you for your interest.

NO2ID, the national umbrella group against
ID cards, was formed in late 2004.

A Hammersmith and Fulham Group was founded in May 2005. It was a broadly-based local campaign to stop the introduction of ID cards and a large-scale population tracking system (Database State, National Identity Register).

The group had a busy ten months before the Identity Cards Act, 2006, was passed. Work commitments limited activities between 2006-8, but the group revived in 2009.

With the national NO2ID campaign becoming a limited company in 2009, and uncertainties about the position of a separate group, a decision to disband was taken in Dec 2009. Campaigning continues as a network of individuals.
